As the transfer window for Paris Saint-Germain attracted most observers due to the quality of the new signings made by Les Parisiens, the squad has now started showing homogeneity after a forgettable 1-0 defeat at home to http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/FC-Lorient-c39153 on the first day of the
2011/2012 campaign.
In total, PSG signed nine players this summer and all but one of the players has not been able to feature for Les Rouges et Bleu. http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Mali-c2951 international Momo Sissoko was signed from Italian Serie A giants Juventus in order to increase the depth of the PSG midfield.
Sporting director Leonardo has been a long-term admirer of the 26-year-old. However, Sissoko came at the Parc des Princes with a knee injury. The youngster went under the knife on March 1 but has so far struggled to recover from the knee injury.
The midfielder had a set a goal to make his PSG debut in a Ligue 1 encounter against Stade Brestois. Now however, the Malian is unclear about the exact day of his return to football.
While being interviewed by Le Parisien, a source close to Sissoko explained the reasons behind the delay. “After the injury, Momo was doing well in the two months of rehabilitation in Capbreton but then things changed. The problem for him is that he is not
showing enough pace and power,” the source said.
Furthermore, Sissoko has not played a single game since February 2011 which means that even if he shakes off his knee injury, Sissoko will need ample time to return to full fitness which will happen only if he gets some playing time with the reserves as
neither Antoine Kombouare nor http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Liverpool-c39809 man in the first-team so early.
Questions would always be posed of Sissoko as in whether he will be able to play 30 to 40 games per season, something that has never happened for Sissoko since the start of his career. During the last two seasons, Sissoko has played just 35 games.
A tailored program has been designed for Sissoko. The physical trainer of the club is hopeful that the Malian will be able to join the first-team by the end of September.
