I joined a Facebook group about babysitters in my local area. I applied today, and already got a response. This woman says that she wants to meet me for an interview.

She said:

"Can we meet for an interview maybe? Either you could come to our home and meet the kids.. You can bring your parents if you want. Or we can bring the kids to meet you. Whichever you prefer."

So, what should I say back, and how should I tell my parents that I'm going to meet someone from the internet? I definitly want to bring my parents over to her house. And I'm definitly interested. So, what should I say back, and how would you handle this situation if I was your daughter?

  1. How i handled it would depend on your age. Also where I met them would depend on where you would be babysitting. If you'd be going to their house to babysit, I would want to see where you would be spending that time babysitting, But if she'd be dropping them  off at your place, I would have her come to your house. but like I said it all depends.

  2. Either way your parents should be involved and present, but I guess where you meet is a convenience question. I wouldn't be worried about the "meeting on the internet" portion of things-- you weren't out fishing for a date, you were looking for a job! Your parents should be proud you're responsible. If they're the type to be worried about where you'll be while babysitting (and most are), then I guess the other home would be best (plus you'll get a heads up on what you'd be dealing with, and TRUST me, it's nice to have). Good luck!
