Moms and Dads with more than one child?

Do you have a favorite? why?

Of course not. They all have moments when they make me very proud and moments when I want to run screaming. I think one of the cruelest thing you can do to kids is favor 1 over the rest.

Nope.  I love them both the same.  I have my favorite traits about each of them, but I can't say that I favor one over the other......unless one is screaming and other is quiet.  Then I prefer the quiet, lol.

oh god no because I know how that favoritism stuff feels.  and it's not good.  (my husband knows too) we try to be fair to all kids.

My baby.   My oldest is just like me and she gets on my nerves because she's just like me. lol! My oldest has her moments that I would never be able to live without.  

There are qualities I love about both of them.  And other qualities I detest!

I don't think its wrong to have a favorite. I prefer my older daughter who is 5 over my 1 year old daughter. I love them both, but i feel like i have a really extra special place in my heart for her...right now! Maybe its because I am trying to spend a little more time with her one on one to offset the time we spend with the baby, but I just really like her more...I'm sure they will be equal once a personality starts developing in the younger one.

I have a son and a step son that are the same age and while I love them both my son and I are closer we have a different bond. I come from a family where there is a favorite so I can't let that happen here. It doesn't go away after you grow up and it causes years of resentment.

No. I have 3 girls, and they are all so different it wouldn't be fair to compare them in one way. The oldest is very chatty but sometimes selfish. The second is thoughtful but keeps her annoyance to herself which means she is quite moody occasionally. My youngest hasn't hit puberty which just makes her fresh. I don;t have a favourite, but like someone said, they have their moments.

I'm partial to my son's best friend.  Can I choose him?  

He's always on his best behavior when he's playing at our house & then he goes home (where, I'm sure, he's a regular kid, with regular problems on his way to learning).

I do not have a favorite child. Although I believe most children believe you do. Children have different personalitlies and different needs, and you have to treat them accordlingly.At times it appears that the squeaky wheel gets the oil. Because of this you always always have to remember that they all need there individual special time..

my sons father isnt bonding well with our son but i have a girl on the way i think she will be his favorite because ha is always "talking to her"

Absolutely not. My kids are very different, but I have found a way to connect with them both. I love them equally.
