  1. Oh my gosh there really WAS a baby in there!

I'm a mother baby nurse and I've seen a million deliveries but it is still so surreal you when you see an entire human being emerge from you.

  2. i cried and was in shock when i heard my baby crying. and when i saw her for the first time in 9 months and got to hole her in my arms i got the butterflies. i just kept saying she is so beautiful and im a mommy now...a MOM holy c**p.

    just total shock

  3. With my first baby (6years ago) I just stared at him and couldnt believe he was mine.  My first though was holy c**p he is massive, how did i get that thing out??He was 9lbs 10 oz.

With my daughter (8 weeks ago) I didnt believe I was having a girl, just never thought I would.  Even though the us said it was a girl and i had fully prepared for a girl, i was really thinking it was a boy.  When the dr placed her on my chest, i looked at her in shock and said to my husband "told you its a boy".  I was looking in the area of the legs.

He gave me a funny look and said "thats the cord, its a girl".  Lol, just thinking about it makes me laugh.

  4. AHhh i love thinking of that moment in life.  My first thought I couldnt contain.  I stared at her (i didnt cry, which i still feel a little guilty about) and just couldnt smack the smile off my face and said "oh my god, thats my baby???  wow, thats my baby!!!!!!!" i just couldnt believe it was real.  she was unplanned, so the fact that she really existed nearly took me by surprise.  it was amazing.  i am the most happy single mother to a baby girl ever.  its amazing.

  5. Happiness !!

and a lot of tears of joy !!!

  6. well to be honest when i had my son all i could do was stare in shock. i had a long labor and almost a 9 pound baby that i pushed out naturally so i was in plain and simple shock. and beleive me i imagined many times what i would feel. i actually thought i would be crying and my husband would be crying and i would be holding my baby in so much love. dont get me wrong i knew i loved him i was just to exhausted to show it.

  7. I don't know what my 1st reaction will be. I know I'm going to be in awe!

  8. Okay with my daughter I had a long labor but had an epidural so I wasn't in Pain. I pushed her out and the dr lifted her up and I got to touch her and I just started to cry in Love. It was a real warm feeling.

My son came fast so no epidural. I don't do good with pain and the nurse delivered my son. I wanted to watch him and see him, but I was in shock so I was shaking and didn't want to hold him.  That was okay I will see him later feeling.

One thing no one told me is that when my daughter came out I was upset she was purple. And that is normal but first time mommy doesn't know that so I was scared. So just so you know that and don't panic.

Good luck and enjoy your moment meeting your child

  9. I was in awe, but my baby wasn't breathing so I really didn't get a good look...but once all that was sorted when she was feeding off me for the first time...I was just looking at her and thinking 'wow this is it, this is her, my baby, our baby girl...wow'

So weird yet wonderful feeling overwhelmed me.

    Goodluck with yours :)

  10. I had a long labor and an emergency c-section. So my first thought was "wow she has dark hair" followed quickly by "Im so relieved she's ok".

After that I just wanted to sleep.

  11. Well honestly, their all goopy and gross and they fresh from the v****a so i personally prefer them when their nice and clean. It's your child and its a very special moment but you know

  12. Well I don't know my 1st reaction yet, but hopefully I will soon! lol

Add: I can tell you about when my neice was born, I know she is not my daughter, but my sister was very young and I helped her out alot, so I felt very involved! I knew she was having a baby and probably totally annoyed the h**l out of her the entire pregnancy, but it didn't hit me until I saw the head....I started screaming and crying saying "It has a head!!!! Omg it has a head!!" lol

I was 16 and I was so "prepared" that I thought I could practically deliver the baby, because "I knew so much"...Boy was I wrong! Now my little neice is 5 years old and SOOO terribly excited to meet her new cousin. I hope she loves my daughter as much as I love her. :)

  13. after i had my son i felt like i was n a different world i was just so happy to finally meet him i didnt known-eds ne one around us

  14. Disbelief. Relieved.

I had been in induced labor for 21 hours, and ended up having a c-section. I couldn't believe that he was finally here, I couldn't believe that it didn't hurt, I couldn't believe that he was so big! For several days after his birth, I kept being surprised that there was a baby in the room. It took a while for it to all sink in. I was an older mom (36) and had a complicated pregnancy, so I had been afraid to hope that it was all going to turn out OK.

  15. It's amazing. My baby girl is 8 months old. When I seen her the first time I felt this love that I have never felt before. Its so wonderful how you can love someone when you first see them. Good Luck.

  16. i have three children so here goes with my first i said he is beautiful chubby head full of hair and sideburns with my second i said i did that a little wrinkly boy with my daughter she had some complications so i asked about her digits when i saw her i said she looked like a alien really red from all the hard work straight black hair that looked like it was just placed on her head and a sharp chin with cat eyes

  17. I was in SHOCK! I thought he was dark skinned. And I looked closer, and He was completely BLUE!!  So when you look at the pictures of my first glance of my son, I have this Weird, puzzled look on my face. I wish my first reaction was a smile, and not a weirded out look. But regardless, I love my baby boy to piecess...
