Moms please?

Question

When me and my brother were kids, shetold my brother to not watch tv, and that she had ways of checking if he did. Please tell me all the ways that she could know, because i am older now, and i still haven't figured it out. Also we weren't rich, so security cameras and stuff like that are totally out of possibility.

I'm going to let you in on a little known secret known only by other mothers.  YOU are going to be the only other person, besides most moms to know this confidential info, so do me a favor, and DON'T tell anyone else.  All the other moms will hate me if they knew I told. Deal?  Okay here goes

Moms really do have eyes in the back of our head...really.  And we can read our kid's minds.  The day we become a mom, our new eyes form and we get an extra chromosone that allows up to automaticcally know if our child is lying AND if our child secretly disobeyed.

Okay, you may be wondering, "If moms know we disobeyed, why don't twe get in trouble everytime".  Simple answer.  Because if we let you know everytime that we knew, you would catch on to our little secret.  We have to pretend we DON'T know everything n order to keep you fooled.

Now remember, don't tell ANYONE what I said...it's just between me and you; K?

Maybe if the channel wasn't on the same channel it was left on.Other than that I have no idea. My parents pulled that c**p on me and my brother too. I think they were just messing with us.

Huh well lets see there's always she was only bluffing when you were a kid you'll believe anything you parents say. Also if your turning up the volume to loud. Parents can sneak up on kids you know just because he thinks he's safe doesnt mean he is.  Also if he had food they can check for food smuges. That's pretty much the ony ways i know hope that helps

I think a major part of it is just messing around, but there are tons of way to find out.

1- channel or volume change

2- fingerprints

3- the kid accidentally mentions what they watched (even weeks away) which is pretty likely

4- other toys haveing been played with  or not

There just really tons of ways. Plus you can usually tell if your kid is lieing. :0)

Just watch the TV or put like gel on the k***s and see if the gel smears

As a mom i say things like that to my kids too. You don't really know but your child doesn't know that. Just because the mom says it the child automatically thinks that the mom has secret ways of knowing, but really she does not.

I totally know when my daughter has done something she isn't supposed to, but I can't always explain it...I think it's just "mommy's intuition"!

2 its dustier than usual

3 the channel is changed

If the TV was just on and got turned off, you can feel the heat from the top of the box, or you may still get some static electricity coming off the screen if it hasn't cooled too much.
