  1. This is perfectly normal behavior.  I looked at dirty magazines when I was six also.  It's just a natural boy's instinct.  It's more of a curiousity than a sexual drive that supports his reason of doing these acts.  This does not mean he will treat women badly at an older age....in fact, once he hits puberty he will shy down a bit when confronted with someone he finds attractive.  As long as he is brought up to respect his mother, there is a 99% chance that he will hold other responsible women on the same level.

Oh and just keep him busy....lots of outside activities will curb some of this behavior

  2. he is only 6 so put some children programing on instead of those s**t like e true hollywood story. Put on programing like blues clues or get TreeHouse tv great way for a 6 yr old to past time.

  3. I'm not a mum, but my brother, (who is now my guardian) is the nicest person in the world and looks after everyone and is really nice to women, he liked girls a lot when he was a little boy. My Nan and Mum talk about how he used to look at them and liked girls with no clothes on and stuff. I think he was just going to be heterosexual.

  4. Well, it's great to have him appreciate beautiful women, but it's the over-sexualized representation that is probably unhealthy. It's everywhere, though. Try to talk to him a little about nice girls who are pretty, like I know Jessica Alba has said she'll never pose nude, and explain your feelings on nudity. You can keep it simple for his age and then get more complicated as he gets older. I totally think this is a conversation more parents need to have!!!! Also, can you limit the TV somehow- to certain channels, times, or maybe take off the cable connection? Don't forget to monitor the internet, too!!!!! Get Netnanny and whatnot. Good luck.

  5. All boys are different.  I have a son who has always been interested in girls.  He has never hid his feelings and even at that age they are curious about the opposite s*x.  I think the important thing for you to do is to remind him often how to treat girls and to be a gentleman.  A mom really has control over how her boys treat girls.  Every boy use to look through the JCPenny catalogue in the old days.  Don't worry too much!

  6. I don't know what to tell you except he is a bit young to choose TV programmes on his own...

  7. I don't understand. You want your son to be g*y?

I suspect much of his interest in girls is being reinforced by dad (and others) by their reaction to him when he shows such an interest.  In any case, going gaga over girls may be a phase and doesn't mean he'll necessarily mistreat them.

  8. I'm not sure what you are worried about.  He is pretty young to be so interested in girls, however, there is no reason why he will grow up to mistreat women.  Just raise him to be respectful of both men and women.  I would continue to be careful of what he is watching on TV, etc. to make sure he isn't going to be getting into watching p**n when he gets a little older.  As you said though he is only 6....I'm sure he will soon find other interests like sports.  I think you are worrying too much about this but just keep an eye on him to make sure he doesn't become sexually active really young.  At this point seems like he just has a natural curiosity about females.
