  1. They could.  there is always a chance.

  2. I don't think anyone can do anything with the pictures. If they could, what would they do with it? It's a picture of a kid that know one knows who he is but me. I love having my little man as my avatar so everyone can see how cute he is.

  3. I will never put my son's picture up on the Internet..ever. Some may call me paranoid but i don't care I rather be safe.Perverts love to collect all kinds of pictures of children!  I am a proud mom and love to show off my son but not to some stranger sitting behind a computer who may get sexually aroused by my child.

and just to answer the people who are asking what can someone do with a picture?? well just think about it...and I am going to get graphic here... do you want some sicko pleasuring himself while looking at your babies picture? of course that is nothing like touching a child themselves...but do you really want someone even thinking of your child in such a way???  If you do not think it happens..contact your local police department who has a Internet task force dedicated to finding child predators on line. They will tell you a sickos favourite site is places like my space were people freely put kids pictures up.

  4. I love showing off my baby, but I am nervous about the same thing, people can get a lot of from a photo, an email address or just a name. I have my own website that i have pictures of my baby girl on there that only my family can see, other then that, I really dont do it.

  5. I had one up, but I took it down... but I seriously doubt with all the baby pictures out there, that if someone was going to do anything weird, they would pick these tiny pictures. Think about all the little babies in commericals, parenting and newborn magazines...

  6. i'm paranoid too -- that's why i have this anonymous avatar.  I actually don't even know how to do a 'real' avatar like all of those cartoonish characters everyone else has.  i'm like you... i don't do anything other than yahoo answers...mostly because i feel weird about having all of my personal info online!!

  7. The picture I have up is of my daughter- but on my profile I didnt put any type of information that would give anyone ANY type of clue as to where I live.

I dont think that they can really do anything-

Plus, to me, there are so many easier ways for the perverts in this world to find little girls, I think that Yahoo Answers would be too much of a pain to even try.

Now when my daughter turns like 6, 7, 8  (you know, older, and turns into a little girl and is no longer a baby, I wont be puting a picture up of her ANYWHERE at all.)

These are just my opinions on it though,  :)

  8. I dont have pictures anywhere people who I dont know can see them.

  9. I'm the same way, I'd love to show off my beautiful baby girl, but how do you know, I just don't trust freaky people won't do something or somehow find my baby(I know that's a stretch but I've heard freakier things).

  10. I have heard about a freak in here who stole people's pictures and badmouthed them, but that's all she did. Apparently, all her threats were bullcraps. Freaks like those usually are the ones who are scared to put up their pics, for fear that someone who knows them would notice and find out about their embarassing behaviour online.

So okay, I have my baby's picture here on my avatar.

I challenge you to show me what you can do.

Find our real names and where we live, if you can.

But if you just want to draw moustache, then by all means, do so.

I must admit that I do that sometimes.

  11. I don't know...I guess I'm brave! I just wanted my cuties on my avatar so people can see how freaking cute they are!

  12. I can't help it.  My son is so cute I have to show him off to the world.  :)

And yours is too - I think you should do it.  Just my opinion though.

  13. I'm sorry, but anyone who is paraniod about putting a thumbnail baby pic online is basing their reasons on something other than logical rationale.  Honestly, how is it any different than taking him out in public?  These hypothetical weirdos don't just sit at the computer.  Maybe they're at the mall, the grocery store, your neighborhood.  You don't know that they aren't taking a picture, what if they have a hidden camera?  Showing your child off on the internet isn't any more threatening than showing them off in real life, in fact it's probably less so.

Maybe we should just move our children to a plastic bubble inside a bomb shelter until they're 18 . . . safety first.

  14. As long as they don't touch him in person I don't care.  He's beautiful and I'm proud of that so I want other people to see him.

  15. My daughter is 6 weeks old in my avatar picture. She is 8.5 months old now. The only info you can gather from my private questions is that I live in Illinois. If some sicko really wants to check the whole state for a tiny thumb nail imagine of a child...

  16. on the same topic... what about myspace? it has all of your pictures and where your from.   i just think it would really take someone with alot of time on their hands to do something bad. then again, we see what the world is coming to, so i guess ya never know.     or facebook? or cafe mom?

some people on here do have a myspace, facebook,or cafemom profile. i just figured if we were talking about avatars why not bring up something that has even more info on it.

  17. weirdos like me

  18. lol Mork!

I wasnt too worried, when I had her pic up. Its not like she's sitting next to a sign with our address on it!

I might actually put a new one up soon!

  19. I'm like that too!!

I can't do it, i'd worry that some psycho would do something with my little guy's pic.

My best friend had some cute pics in her myspace, well then she saw HERSELF in an add for those pages where you meet people, it was her pic & then it said 'come meet me' or something like that LOL, i know that was harmless but you can never be toocareful, hehe

    GOd Bless

  20. Like what?  What could they possible do with a teeny picture?

  21. I'm not really worried about it, what are they going to do with a thumbnail image?

  22. It didnt take courage, I just saw evryones and was like AWWWAH!!

Brody needs some lovin too :)

  23. I used to have my boys up, still do sometimes. Way I see it is this: I'm proud of my boys and I love to show them off, I walk around in public with them, how do I know who is watching at the park? All people see here is a photo on the screen, it's not like they're naked in the bath or anything!!
