Moms who know what you are having?

My mom's neighbour is expecting a girl in October, and since my husband and I are finished having kids, and we're having a boy, we gave her all our daughter's baby clothing.

Well, the other day, she told me that a friend of hers was told throughout the pregnancy that she was having a boy, and she delivered a girl instead!

Now that has me worried. When we saw our son's "turtle", he was trying to close his legs to stop us from seeing, but it was definitely there.

So, mom who know if you're having a boy or a girl, are you worried that you'll end up having the opposite s*x, or has the thought crossed your mind at all?

  1. Yeah that thought has crossed my mind too. We are supposed to be having a little girl. All my US have showed a girl. But everything we are buying is yellow or pastel colors just in case!!

  2. I think that the thought always crosses our minds just because nothing is 100% until the baby is there and you can see the "parts" for yourself.

  3. I knew in my hearrt with each one of my children what the s*x was going to be. For the first 2 we had an ultrasound prove what i thought and for the last one we waited until his due date - but i knew all long.

  4. haha its come across my mind before, and like you said our sons "turtle" was oh so very much there hehe. But he likes to show it off so I'm sure he will be a he..we are just so paranoid...oh and my husband brought it up to..well what if it comes out to be a girl, i just say go watch the dvd and ask me that again.

  5. It happens --humans make mistakes...

    But it's very, very rare.

I am not worried, since the doctor I had at the ultrasound is the best for telling the gender (he is the only one I've heard about who can sometimes tell at the first (12 weeks) ultrasound). He told me he was 100% sure.

  6. I WAS TOLD BABY BOY. THE LEGS WHERE OPENED BUT HOW THE BABY WAS TURNED IN THE SONOGRAM PICTURE I HAVE PRINTED IT LOOKS LIKE IT COULD ALSO BE THE UMBILICAL CORD. IM SCARED BECAUSE MY BEST FRIEND TOLD ME, WHEN HER MOM WAS PREGNANT WITH HER THE DOCTORS TOLD HER FOR MONTHS IT WAS A BOY. SO SHE WENT OUT AND BOUGHT ALL THESE BOY CLOTHES, AND SHE CAME OUT A GIRL. SO NOW IM BUYING ALL THESE BOY CLOTHES FOR MY LIL WINTER BABY, BECAUSE I KNOW ITS GOIN TO BE HARD TRYING TO SHOP IN CRAZY WEATHER. BUT I WORRY EVERYDAY ALSO.

TRY TO GET A 3-D ULTRA SOUND TO MAKE SURE THE s*x IT RIGHT.

  7. It will be great if my sonograms were not accurate!! Two of my sonograms have told me I'm having a little girl... well I have two girls already and will love to have my little boy!! So that's why i wouldnt mind if my sonograms were wrong...

  8. I am a bit worried but with my first I was told he was a boy and he was. They are usually 80-90% right.

  9. OMG!  I'm so worried.  I'm told I'm having a girl, but I've heard so many stories about girls ending up being a boy.  Luckily I already have a boy so if that does happen then I will have stuff for him, but it will just be a pain to change the nursery!  I feel your pain!

  10. that crossed my mind but i had to have an ultrasound at 30 weeks because the baby is big and i had them check again and she is still a girl and you can see her ovaries so i am no longer worried.

  11. The thought has cross my mind few times but I just plan on taking 2 outfits to bring him home a blue and a yellow outfit just in case. But I trust what the tech told me because I heard she really good at telling and it look like she knew what she was doing. Also she didn't get frustrated with the baby moving. My boy was moving like crazy and she manage to get all the pics including a perfect shot of his little part.

  12. i was told i was having a boy. i'm not worried that im having a boy but the thought has crossed my mind many times. If his "turtle" looked like a boy part then just keep believing you're having a boy. You should wait to give your daughter's clothes away until after you deliver.

  13. I am having a girl in December and have definitely thought about it. I think its partially b/c everyone said it was a boy, but I knew since I peed on the stick it was a girl...these things are never 100% positive, but I am not worried :)
