  1. I know you're only asking moms, but as a dad, I have to answer too.  I'd be extremely proud of my child if they learned the life lessons and morals I tried to teach them as they grew up.  You can have a kid with all the money and fame in the world, but if they're self centered, mean, uncaring, then they're useless in the real world, to me.  If I need someone I can talk to and that I can trust, the first choice would NOT be there for me.  To me, it's a direct reflection of myself and my beliefs.  Mean begets mean. I hope that my interjection isn't intrusive.  I just thought I'd offer a fatherly point of view.

  2. I wouldnt want want a son or daughter that looks down at me, I dont think any parent would want that. i would rather have a child that doesnt earn that much but cares for me and others. That would make me really proud.

  3. To me that is kind of a silly question. What kind of mom would be proud of a child that turned out to be mean/selfish. Not a good one, that's for sure!

Success is way more than money! I am very proud of my kids because they are wonderful loving people. As long as they are doing something they love and are always kind/helpful to others, they will always be a success in my eyes. :)

  4. Second one...definately!

  5. the second bc all the things listed in the 1st can be taken away like that but helping ppl is priceless. Plus I'd want her to care about me!

  6. I would be more proud of a child with a kind heart. I don't care what they do for a living as long as they are happy.

  7. Kind heart, good person any day of the week.

  8. From a father's view point, i have to agree with FIREFITE's answer. I give him a thumbs up.

  9. The second one.

  10. Obviously the second

  11. I have two adult children and they are both fantastic and kind people, but my daughter doesn't make much money and my son is a starving actor.  I wouldn't trade them for any riches.

Although it would be wonderful if they were kind hearted and wealthy...

  12. rich and kind. im not proud of this answer but the 1st. im horrible

  13. Both  ~ always remember a mother is always bias to their children. I would be proud of both, at the end they are still my children.

  14. I would be more proud to have a child that has a "blue collar" job, doesn't get paid that much, takes it in stride, has a kind and giving heart, and is the best person that I know.

  15. HEART if course!  Im already bragging about my 2 year old's big heart more than I brag about anything else.  Now, I dont want them to be a pushover but Id still rather that than a jerk!

Ha, I think everyone says it in theory, but I see the opposite every day.  People have more respect for the jerks with money than the teacher who gives time and energy to those in need.  ( i see it in my extended family of 7 and many other places!)

  16. Why does it have to be one or the other? A lot of people who are rich are very nice people. And a lot of people who are poor arent so nice. Id be proud of my child simply for being my child.

  17. I am not a mom(only 15) but i would like 2 have the second child. It's not like he/she is gonna give me the money

  18. i would want the second option

MY mother would rather have the first option

    i hope im the seconde

  19. Your second choice.  Too bad it's never that easy to instill these traits in your children.  Too bad we can't pick and choose how we want our kids to live.

  20. the second, I care more about how my kids develop as people, rather than as members of society.
