The chief executive of the club, Tor-Kristien Karlsen, has recently reported that the club wants to bring star players to Stade Louis II. The chief believes that there is no lack of quality in the squad, but with the addition of players like Beckham, it
would definitely prove to be a bonus. He said:
“We are happy with our current squad but if there's a chance to get a player of Beckham's stature, we'd be foolish not to explore it.”
The general manager went on to explain:
“Right now we're trying to learn if Beckham's future ambitions are in sync with ours.”
While Beckham has denied any formal approach by the French outfit, the midfielder is excited about the offers that he currently has. The 37-year-old stated:
“I've got some interesting and exciting options on the table.”
Monaco’s management is still analysing the stats and figures involved in the Englishman’s signing. Karlsen knows that signing the veteran would not be an easy task as several other clubs are also interested in the talisman. He also said:
“I understand he's high in demand but it's natural for a player with his experience and quality. Let's see what the next few weeks bring.”
