Monaghan Jack likely to shine at Swindon tonight – Heat 4 Preview
Swindon greyhound racing track is set to host the Heat 4 contest of Ladbrokes Mobile Arc at 16:18, tonight, February 20. The Open Race of 480m Flat distance will have £150 of prize money.
Ding Hero, Jazz Apollo, Holycross Prince, Snowdon Tommy, Monaghan Jack and Guinness Magic are lined-up to show their guts.
Here we pick the three aces who are expected to grab the top three spots of the Heat 4 tonight.
Following are the career snapshots of the three picks:
Monaghan Jack
P Sallis’ fawn dog has been at the peak of his form for last two months. After accomplishing a marvellous hat-trick during December 2011, the dashing runner won two consecutive races with big margins in the first half of the calendar month.
His 11 ¼-length clean victory on February 8 was indeed one of the greatest achievements in the history of greyhound racing. Currently, he is awash with form and spirit.
The son of Hondo Black out of Droopys Lena seems to be strong enough for tonight’s clash. With an aim to complete his second straight hat-trick, he will deliver to his best and won the Heat. He has 97 percent chances to finish first.
Jazz Apollo
The M Wallis-trained brindle dog has been performing and winning consistently since last six months. The brilliant runner won four races in a row from October 30 to November 18, 2011. He again bagged two triumphs during the month of December.
The three-year-old won his last race with a huge margin of 7 ½ lengths on February 14. This long success streak has perked up his confidence to a great extent.
The son of Westmead Hawk out of Jazz Hurricane is supposed to show sheer firepower tonight and fight well. However, he will be able to stand second as Monaghan Jack is not likely to let him excel.
Snowdon Tommy
J Gammon’s white and black dog bagged a couple of good victories during the first half of February. Overall, the novice runner has been impressive since his debut in July 2011.
His recent triumphs have well exposed his skills. He now seems to be in good momentum which will help him show a good run tonight. He is expected to finish third in the race.
Conclusion
Along with the trio, the other three hounds also possess great talent and good track records. Thus, it is going to be an awe-inspiring competition. Victory definitely seems to be leaning towards Monaghan Jack. Good luck to all the runners.
