I think just about all airlines are paperless now.

And if they are paper ticket only, I would avoid them like the plauge. If their technology hasnt updated to 1999 yet, I dont want to be aboard their planes.

i think it is, all you have to do is take your passport to the checking desk.

All airlines are now ticketless. Most airlines email a confirmation number (some even text it) and it is advisable for you to take this along when checking in. you don't need it though., just your passport.
