  1. Dead ?

  2. Hundreds and hundreds are dead, others beaten into submission, prisons are filled with them with barbed wire barricades surrounding monasteries and the religious and moral fiber of the country destroyed by the generals.

The military have even less compunctions towards civilian protesters, for the time being, cowered by the brutal force.

  3. Most of the monks who have been rounded up will be sent to prisons in the north of the country. Some are trying to flee Rangoon and are finding it difficult to convince bus drivers to take them.

  4. I really hoped that it was the beginning of a revolution when the monks started this heavy form of resistance, but instead it seems like the military regime have tightened their iron fist even more around the poor Burmese people.

No doubt many of the protesters have been either locked away, killed or both...

  5. Ironically, the army that's whisked them away is also composed of former monks from those very monasteries.

    Buddhists are some violent sobs.

  6. Corpses dont need monastaries.
