Monday Night RAW: Sheamus vs Mark Henry
Sheamus won at the Fatal Four-Way Pay Per View to become the new WWE Champion, as he pinned John Cena in a match which was characterized by outside interference by a group which calls itself the “Nexus”. Sheamus, who comes from a long line of Celtic Warriors in Dublin, Ireland, has been making a solid impact in the world of professional wrestling. Sheamus has ended careers and defeated many wrestlers with his elite fighting skills. Sheamus appeared on Monday Night RAW to address the crowd as the new WWE Champion. It was announced that Sheamus will face John Cena in a steel cage fight for the WWE championship at the Money in the Bank Pay Per View.
Sheamus addressed the crowd and arrogantly told the professional wrestling world about his long list of achievements. After his speech, the new and anonymous General Manager of Monday Night RAW announced that Sheamus will compete against the strongest man in the world, Mark Henry, before the main event. Sheamus entered the arena and conceitedly walked towards the ring while holding the title belt on his shoulder. Mark Henry entered the arena with his rookie Lucky Cannon. Lucky Cannon is competing with other NXT rookies to become the next breakout star of WWE. The task of Lucky Cannon was to stand outside the ring during the match and learn the wrestling skills from his mentor, Mark Henry.
Sheamus started the match with his dominant style and delivered quick punches to the shoulder and back of Mark Henry. However, Mark Henry was in no mood to be at the receiving end, as he threw Sheamus on the ring floor. Sheamus considers it a humiliation when he is dominated by some other wrestler. Sheamus went insane and started delivering hardcore punches to the chest of Mark Henry. Sheamus was so certain of his fighting skills that he quickly went for the cover but Mark Henry kicked out before the referee could count to three. The egos of both wrestlers were on the line and no one was able to completely dominate the match. The crowd was on Mark Henry’s side and people cheered for him as he fought back against Sheamus.
Sheamus ran in the ring and tried to collide with Mark Henry to knock him down on the ring floor. However, before Sheamus could do anything, Mark Henry picked up his right hand and delivered a close line to Sheamus. The close line knocked down Sheamus and made him vulnerable to a simple attack or a wrestling finisher. Then, Mark Henry, who weighs around 418 pounds, jumped in the air and slammed his body on an already vulnerable Sheamus. Many thought it as the end of the WWE champion and his dominating style. Mark Henry went for the cover and the referee started counting to three. However, before the referee could count to three, Sheamus barely touched the lower rope of the ring with his left foot and kicked out of the cover by Mark Henry.
Then, out of nowhere, Sheamus took a few quick steps in the ring to build some momentum and executed his wrestling finisher by delivering his huge boot in the face of Mark Henry. No one has ever kicked out from this brutal wrestling finisher, so Sheamus quickly went for the cover, and the referee counted to three with both shoulders of Mark Henry touching the ring floor. It was a great win for Sheamus, as it is not an easy task to beat the strongest man in the world. The big question after the win was that who will win the fight when Sheamus will square off against John Cena in a brutal steel cage match for the WWE championship at the Money in the Bank Pay per View.
Keep your fingers crossed as Monday Night RAW will unfold next week with more action and thrilling matches.
