  1. It is called freedom of choice. Educate yourself and strive to be the best or wallow in self pity.  You get to choose.

  2. I have a college education, hold an electrical contractors license, an electrical journeyman's license and right now I could get a job paying $26.00 per hour if I was not medically retired. You question if self defeating. What have you done to get yourself the skills necessary to make the kind of money I do?

If the answer is nothing do the world a favor and put yourself out of our misery.

  3. Actaully employers do offer a competitive wage.  Do you see people with college degrees or a job in a trade complaining?  Are they just trying to get by?  No, of course not.  Companies are struggling right now, generally, but that's just how economy works.  It's a business cycle and right now it's on the down turn...but if you dollar cost average, you never feel a thing.  Now...you are asking if it's better to have a job or to "explore the lower bowels of the criminal underworld."  Our you insane?  You don't want a smart @ answer...but you ask such a stupid question.  If you work full time at a retail store...yeah, I bet you are struggling to get by.  But that's probably because you don't know how to invest or save.  The last thing we need is more people committing crimes, futher damaging our economy.  Ugh...
