  1. Usually don't play for more than 10 or 20 bucks so I would have to say a pool player. If it was bigger stakes then probably a gambler. Might play for bigger stakes if I could afford it but still have a family to feed ya know. Don't really care for stakehorses , I'm a do it yourselfer.

  2. Feel like a pool player with a little incentive!.

  3. Most of the time I feel like a sucker. The tip-off comes when I'm offered the break and "anything I think I need."

    Kind of a downer.

But, to answer your question - if I have a couple hundred to play with and have two choices: one - go to the boat... or two -play pool... I take my chances in a pool match.

I win a few and lose a few playing pool... but have never won at the boat. So I guess I feel a little bit of both - gambler and pool player.

  4. Neither, I think as a business. My stock is pool. As with all businesses if the payoff is good and the risk managable then I invest, if the risk is not acceptable I don't.

That said I'm a pool player that sometimes just cannot pass a good gamble.

    Kinda sick huh? lol

  5. I would have to lean towards gambler.  I say this because even though I tend to control my own destiny at the pool table, it's never a sure thing and many different random factors come into play.  Furthermore, I'm not just taking a chance on winning the game.  I'm also taking a chance that the guy will pay up, that his friends won't try to beat me up, that I won't be followed out to my car, etc.  I just witnessed a fight at the bar last night over a pool game and it was just shameful.  More and more, I'm liking my idea of a casino-style pool gambling establishment.  M.D.-BCA Instructor/Referee.

  6. I have to see how I'm shooting that night (everyone has those bad nights)..if I'm feeling confident enough to put some money on a game, I will...but most often I like to play as myself, pool player...there's never a day where I don't learn something new...in pool..there's always something new to learn :).........Dre O

  7. Definitely more competitive and more of a desire to win, but gambling is more trilling.
