I am 14 and i want to get a jeep wrangler when im about 17. My parents say that they would pay half of a used one if i payed the other half. But i never can save that much money i always after a few months spend it.

Its so much money to save im guessing like 5,000.

How Can I make sure that it stays saved without the help of a bank?

  1. You need to develop some saving discipline to help you achieve your goals. If you really dont want to use a bank, try sticking a photo of a jeep wrangler on your piggy bank and every time that you are tempted to raid it, that'll remind you why you're saving. But really, you'd be better off getting a bank account that way you'd at least get a little interest, and it would make the temptation to dip into it a little harder to actually do...especially if you tied the cash up in a savings account that you need to give notice on, or need to go to a branch to access, didn't have an atm card, check book etc etc. Or roll it into a series of cd's maturing around the time you expect to be buying the jeep....

its  a tough discipline to learn - get that lesson under your belt now, and it'll stand you in good stead in the future.
