Money Spider likely to thrive in Meadowview Stables Handicap
After 14 failed attempts, the David Wachman trained bay filly, Money Spider, managed to break her maiden on August 6, 2012. That success was such a great as it spiked up the veteran runner’s confidence level to a great extent. Now, she seems to be in full swing, and she will be able to enjoy good time in the Meadowview Stables Handicap that is set to take place at Tipperary on Thursday, August 23.
For the first time in her career, the three-year-old young and talented filly is going to face heavy race conditions. Pursuing the prize cheque worth €5,865, the Irish runner will compete against seven strong rivals.
During the last month, the daughter of Danehill Dancer out of Regal Darcey delivered some decent performances.
After finishing 3rd in the KILA Handicap at Leopardstown, she gained the runner-up rank in the Killarney Oils Ltd. Handicap. She moved ahead to notch up third spot again in the Claytonhotelgalway.ie Handicap. In each one of these three races, the fantastic filly ran audaciously and gave tough time to her opponents, but she could not be able to win unfortunately.
Today again, she will run under Wayne Lordan who marvellously drove her to the finish line in the last outing. Thus, the entire situation is clear for the filly to finish first. However, she will have to be wary of Circle who can give enough tough time to her opponent.
The legendary trainer A. P. O’Brien trained bay filly too broke her maiden in her last start on August 16, 2012. That was the Irish Stallion Farms European Breeders Fund Maiden, held at Leopardstown on August 16, 2012.
Like Money Spider, Circle also made some glaring marks during June-July 2012. Debuting with the runner-up rank on June 21, she grabbed a couple of third positions in the month of July.
In the light of the above analysis, both the fillies stand almost parallel in terms of talent and achievements. Thus, a fierce battle is expected between these two mighty runners. This duel will attract a large number of race lovers. Let us catch the live action. Good luck to all the contestants.
