Money for plastic bottles and cans?

I heard you get money for plastic bottles...how much do you get and whats a good place in orange county that will pay you for plastic bottles? and cans too?

CRV it says on the bottle or can what you can get for it. The little triangle at the bottom of the container. just take it to a recycling center and they will weigh it for you.

BTW some places make you crush cans before hand. also cans and plastics usually need to be seperated before hand.

the triangle on the bottom wont tell you about a deposit only if it is recyclable.When you buy the plastic bottle or pop do you pay for a deposit if you do then you will get the refund back ask at the store were to take it or if they take it back and give you the deposit.In Michigan you can take carbonated liquid containers back to automated machines and get your deposit(Wal Marts,Glynn's)but don't crush them as the machines need to read the bar codes.Contact a local recycling centre in the yellow pages for better info.

In Hawaii, you earn 5 cents for every bottle or can you return. I don't live in Orange County so I wouldn't know, but I think a good place to start asking would be a recycling center near you.
