okay so i have like a card my sister gave me she told me its not a credit card.It says visa on it and debit on it ?

so what is it ?

can you buy stuff from online on it?

if it was a gift it's more than likely a visa gift card which can be used anywhere that visa is accepted. and that means anywhere...online, the mall, grocery stores, gas stations, etc...anywhere you can use a visa card you can use that gift card.

Visa/debit card means that u can use the card just as u would an ordinary credit card so in ur case online is fine. The difference is that with a normal credit card you have money as credit that you have to pay back, whereas the visa/debit has your money in it, like a personal bank account.

What a nice sister .. I assume you know that unless your name is on the Card (and it is registered to your address) you will be technically committing fraud ?

As for buying on-line .. well most sites first ask you to 'Register' (create user name / password)

Then you can 'shop' .. most have some sort of 'shopping basket' system .. you click on the items your want to 'Buy', and then click on 'check out'.

Up will come a page asking 'how do you want to pay?'. There will be a 'pull down box' and Visa will be one of the options .. you then enter the details from the card .. most on-line stores will only deliver to the address that is 'registered' on the card (to prevent fraud :-) )
