i am from America and i am going to Spain for 32 days.

How much money in spain is 1 US doller?

  1. 1 USD is in Spain the same as it is in the rest of Europe, because Spain's currency is the euro. Right now 1USD/ 0.640491898 Euros. Very expensive change :(


  2. I have a friend who is coming to visit next month... He told me yesterday that he had just changed a thousand dollars into Euros, and got 600€ (he is in New Mexico)

  3. According to my desktop gadget, it's 1.567 for a Euro.  It changes that rapidly...but it is important to remember that you never get the best rate, and then you pay a fee for the transaction (on my credit cards, that was  1 - 3%.  I think it's a bit more for cash).  

    Credit cards and ATMs (using a debit or cash card - NOT your credit card) are generally the best way to carry money these days.
