Money in everything? Money in Anthropology?

Hello, I want to undergo the awesome(i think) field of linguistic anthropology, but I have a question about something.

My family always tells me that "there's money in everything," and that even in anthropology that I will be able to make money. Does this hold true for anthropology?

I'm looking at the salary charts for the average anthropologist and I see, $40k per year after 20 years of experience. I love the field, but i also love money... and I want to be able to live in Korea without having to become an assassin to rake in the money.

  1. my message to the church last week was that all they want is money.

Now i am on a break from the church for multiple reasons eg too hard on people. i don't  laugh when i am supposed to. I am too different, I have one foot in the grave and somebody is jelous of me.

If i go back at all.

  2. Money is  a means  not an object. Morality is most precious than money.

  3. So you have a decision to make: Do you want to make a decent living doing what you love, or do you want to try to make a lot of money doing something else.

Since one's work is a LOT of one's life, I recommend doing what you love. It's too much of your time to spend doing something your don't care about.

Your family is right, there IS money in everything, just not always BIG money. But whatever you do, there's no guarantee that you'll make big money at it.
