Money investments?

What is something I can invest a chunk of money in that's going to make much more money back?? I know I could play the stock market, but I'm scared to lose too much money there. I'd really like to put money into something for 4-5 years and take back much more than I put in.

There are lot's of great options.

To my mind the best way to invest money is to invest in someone's business. It's safer and more profitable. I have invested in my friend's small business and now I am getting guaranteed 40% annual interest. If you invest $5,000 at 30% you would earn $18,564 in 5 years.
