Money stands between Inter Milan’s http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Thiago-Motta-c34897 and Napoli – Serie A news
Inter Milan’s Thiago Motta has been on http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Napoli-c40003’s radar for some time now but the player’s agent, Dario Canovi, reckons that the Naples-based club cannot afford the midfielder’s demands. Napoli have already booked their place in next year’s UEFA Champions
League and are looking to invest in the transfer market in order to bolster their squad, keeping in mind the Europe’s most prestigious tournament.
Motta himself told that he is pleased to be at Inter and would never want to make a move to any other club for the time being. He confirmed Napoli’s interest in bringing him to Stadio San Paolo but mentioned that he has absolutely no problem with the Nerazzurri
and it would require something special to force him away from San Siro.
Brazilian’s agent further added, “He is happy at http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Inter-c39567 but is one of those players who all the top clubs would want in their squad.  Obviously we cannot rule out that Napoli would be interested in him.”
Motta joined Inter Milan in 2009 after spending a year with another Serie A outfit, CFC Genoa. To date, the midfielder has made 42 Serie A appearances from which he has bagged 8 goals. The 28-year-old has also represented the likes of http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Barcelona-c38604 and Atletico
Madrid. The Brazilian born, before making his debut for the Italian national side in 2011, appeared for http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Alberto-Aquilani-c4313 in the second-half.
From two International appearances for Italy, the midfielder has one goal under his belt so far.
With Inter, the 28-year-old has won a host of trophies; the Nerazzurri won UEFA Champions League in 2009/10, Scudetto and FIFA Club World Cup in 2010 along with the Supercoppa Italiana during the same year. He was also the part of 2009 team which grabbed
the Coppa Italia.
Now Napoli want to render his services but paying 3 million Euros per season looks out of question for the Naples-based club.
The agent concluded by saying, “However, his wages are worth €3 million per season which is above the average at the Stadio San Paolo, so because of that it seems a fairly difficult proposition.”
Current Serie A Champions, AC Milan, have also expressed their interest in the playmaker but Motta is likely to remain at Inter for at least one more season. Inter are certain to finish second this term and will wrap up their campaign with a game against
Catania on Sunday, http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/May-22-c39884
