Monisha Kaltenborn says they can be proud of their achievements as a private team – Formula 1 news
The team principal of Sauber, Monisha Kaltenborn, believes that they should be proud over their achievements in the current season as they have attained 116 points in the Constructors’ Championship and yet there are 4 races to go.
The team principal accepted that there were some races when things did not go in their favour yet they were able to prove strength over any kind of circuit.
She said, “With four podium places and now 116 World Championship points, we can certainly be proud of our achievements so far as a private team. Of course there have been races where things didn't go to plan and we forfeited valuable points.”
In addition, she told that their target for the current 2012 season is to attain 5th position in the Constructors’ Championship. They currently attain 116 championship points. She added that although their car is known as one of the best cars yet they have
to prove its strength in the remainder of the season. Currently, they are at the 6th position behind Mercedes at the 5th position. Mercedes currently attains 136 points.
“Our ambitious goal remains to finish fifth in the Constructors' World Championship. And I have the utmost confidence both in our team at Hinwil and in the crew at the track along with our two drivers, Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez,” she added.
Moreover, she added that she has confidence in their drivers Kamui Kobayashi and Sergio Perez and believes that they can attain their ambitions for the current 2012 season.
Kaltenborn is delighted at her promotion as the principal of Sauber and told that she had been anticipating it. She told that she attained the position after a hard work and she excelled step by step starting from the position of head of the legal department
of Sauber. In addition, she added that she understands the responsibility of the seat she holds as the principal of the team.
Mercedes is currently facing problems with their car. It is known that Mercedes is facing balancing issues with their car.
