Sauber team principal, Monisha Kaltenborn has said that they are going through a difficult time, but is feeling positive they will surely find a good solution in
the near future.
The Hinwil based squad have struggled a lot with their performance in the season so far. Moreover, they are also facing immense problems in getting sponsors and
funds to carry on their activities in the sport. In addition, they were surrounded by immense rumours that they didn’t pay anything to their driver, Nico Hulkenberg for the German Grand Prix held at Nurburgring.
Kaltenborn has asserted that they are facing troubles with their finances and they have not tried to hide anything about it. Nevertheless, she said that they are
trying their best to resolve the ongoing issues and are feeling confident that they will soon come out of the tough conditions.
She also said that that they have very limited resources due to which they have not been able to make desired progress in terms of car development.
“We have very openly said we are going through a difficult time but we are confident we will be out of it soon,” she told ESPN. “That's it, there is nothing more
to say. Clearly when you have limited resources you cannot develop as much as you want to and that's it.”
Besides, she said that they are not losing hope and are working hard to make things better. She also insisted that F1 should work together to provide the necessary
shelter for the smaller teams so as to keep up the morale of the sport.
“It's never ideal, but I don't think we are jeopardising next season,” she said.
“We all endorsed these changes and what we should really do is not wait until it is too late for some teams,” she said.
“We shouldn't always wait for the big bang,” she added.
Presently, the Swiss squad are standing at 8th position in the constructors’ championship with 7 points. Furthermore, they are ahead of Williams and
behind Toro Rosso. Let’s see how they perform in the forthcoming races and whether they will able to resolve their issues or not.
