I am having a problem with my computer monitor, the Polyview V17E 17" LCD. It started when I returned from a trip during which the monitor was powered off and unplugged. When I first turned it on everything was fine, so I turned it off and left. Later, when I returned and turned it on it displayed gray striations (stretched-out) on the enture screen for a second or two then went black, however the blue LED power light stays lit. Turning it off then on using the power button does nothing. Unplugging it, on the other hand, reproduces the above situation with the striations followed by a blank screen. Unplugging the display input (I use DVI) does nothing. Switching to the VGA input also does nothing. Having no input at all plugged in, just the power, also produces the same results. I tried shining a flashlight into the blank monitor (as some of the other solutions here suggest) but I see nothing. It very much looks as though the monitor is shut off except for the blue LED. When I look under the Control Panel/Display/Settings it lists the Polyview monitor as "Not Active." Luckily I have a duel monitor set-up which makes this computer remain usable while also making it easier to troubleshoot the problem. Thank you very much ahead of time for any help that can be offered.
