Question:

Monitor Speaker Interference?

My computer speakers emit static interference when my monitor is turned on. Right now I have the speakers pushed as far from the monitor as the wires will allow and they still emit static. The static gets louder the closer the speakers or the speaker wires are to the monitor. I've tried hooking the speakers up to another computer and there was no problem. So what it the problem with my monitor? Is there anything I can do - besides buying new speakers and/or monitor?

  1. Well, the speakers must not be electronically shielded, ( the latest speakers have metal covering it not allowing electronical static to go through. and your monitor must not be covered either. I'm not really sure what you can do, besides putting some object inbetween the speakers and monitor.
