Monitor does not show any picture on one of my PC's while it shows picture on my other PC..what is wrong?

Hello,

My monitor does not show any picture on one of my PC's while it shows picture on my other PC. Does anyone know why one of my PC shows picture perfectly while my other PC does not show anything? For the PC without showing the picture on the monitor the light just stays yellow on the monitor.

Have you tried doing a hard reset on the PC that has no video? Hold the power button in about 10 secs then restart it.

If the computer which does not display an image did work before you disconnected it's cord, but then stopped working for no reason then a virus or a short circuit broke something. But first, if there wasn't a problem until you disconnected the monitor, used it on something else, and then put it back it is possible the video card became loose on the motherboard, you should open the side of the case and make sure it's pressed in firmly. If all cables are connected and that isn't the problem you should make sure the video card isn't dead by using it in a working computer. If it does display a picture in another computer then something is wrong with the rest of the first computer, maybe it isn't even getting to the start up screen you see when you turn it on because the motherboard is dead or more likely it has a bad power supply.
