Question:

Monitor does not show entire page?

Changing the resolution will not work. The monitor is a 15 inch gateway and it does not support the higher resolutions.

I searched some similar answers and a few that the problem could not be fixed. They said I needed a bigger monitor.

is this true?

If not, what are your suggestions.

(besides hitting f11)

Thank you

  1. Sweetheart,

it does not show entire page, i think u arent using a laptop,

thus in monitors, , ucan c buttons uner d screen which show display options or go to d control panel settings and check d display options..

    it will get fixed!!

  2. I would suggest getting a hold of gateway and see if they have any drivers that can help improve your screen resolution or fix your current problems.

  3. You don't need a bigger monitor, but you cannot change the one you have.

What you need is a better resolution monitor.  If yours is at it's max, you cannot get more onto the screen at one time.  (I assume you have right clicked on your desktop and gone "properties" "settings" and changed the screen resolution to the max allowed.)  You will need to be able to set this value to a higher number to get more on your screen.  The size of your screen doesn't really matter, though the bigger the screen the better it will be because as you increase resolution, everything will look smaller so on a bigger screen, the higher resolution wont make words, icons, etc... seem as small.  A new monitor though, is your only option (unless you just have a driver messed up and your screen really can go to a larger resolution).  You might try contacting your manufacturer and see if you are correct about the resolution (unless you have the manual or something and know for sure).

  4. f11 is for internet explorer.. if thats what you're trying to view.. press and hold ctrl and use the scroll on a mouse.. it will zoom in and out of a page... you need internet explorer 7 or firefox 2-3.. others will do this as well.
