Monkeys and robots two thing we have been warned about in the past, now combineing the two? have we learnt nothing from sci-fi??? im sure now the monkeys will eventually over take us and distroy human life then have a mighty power battle after we are all gone!

I don't know what the question is here... whether its to highlight either the cruelty or 'scientific breakthrough'..

But if its to highlight the cruelty believe me it gets a lot, lot worse than this.. I'm sorry to say :(

I find this kind of research fascinating, the problem that I have with it is, ............ will the military hijack it?

This is sick. they do such disgusting things to animals.  particularly sickening is when the animals are so closely related to us that their "intelligence" can be likened to that of a smll child.

I wonder how many were killed before they discovered this fantastic breakthrough. And I wonder whether any amputees would prefer having a large machine (which could have all sorts of unpleasant side effects that the monkey failed to mention) hardwired into their brains to using conventional prosthetics.  

When will people learn that the answer to human problems lies with humans - not rats, pigs, cats or monkeys.
