  1. No no no...  not hips, LIPS!  Monkey lips.   Monkey lips are absolutely delicious lightly seasoned and deep fried, a little hot sauce and your good to go.   But hips?  Monkey hips?  Who the heck would eat monkey hips? Ewww.

They do make a recipe called monkey hips, but here in the US, we use pork.

    Ingredients

2 lbs pork steaks (or monkey)

    1/2 cup teriyaki marinade

    1/4 cup chicken broth

    1 tablespoon garlic, minced

    1/2 tablespoon ginger, crushed

    pepper, to taste

12 bamboo skewer (soaked in water)

    Directions

    1) Cut up pork steaks into bite size pieces.

    2) Mix the teriyaki, broth, garlic, ginger and pepper together. Place the meat in a container and pour the marinade over it.

    3) Place an air tight lid on the container and

    4marinade over night.

    5) Place on presoaked bamboo skewers and grill on a foil covered grill that has been sprayed with cooking spray. Grill until dark brown. 20 minutes is a guess, it really depends on the cut of the meat and the temp of your grill.

    6) Great served with rice.
