Monkspath Matrix has the formula for winning at Monmore
Science and mathematics are two subjects where many formulaic calculations come into play. By using some carefully chosen numbers, figures, and formulas, one can find the answers to many
complex equations.
You don’t need and scientific or mathematic formulas in a 480m greyhound race, but the racers at the Monmore Green Greyhound Stadium run as if they have the formula for success all figured
out.
Monkspath Matrix (3-1) was one of several dogs to find the formula to victory Monday, as he won the A7 race that began the afternoon. Coming out of trap three, he held an early pace, and
led first en route to a 29.18 second finish. Second place went to Me Keano, the 5-2 favourite. He was 3½ lengths behind Monkspath Matrix with his time of 29.46.
Closing out the top three was Ballymac Sun (3-1), who missed second place by just a ½ length. She completed the race in 29.50 to take third place. A single length behind her was Aaron
Trask (6-1), who crowded first. This resulted in a fourth-place finish in 29.58.

Homestead Rascal (5-1) crowded second, but finished only ¾ lengths behind Aaron Trask in 29.64 to lay claim on fifth place. The last-place finisher was Hi There Freddie (4-1), who was
1 ½ lengths out of fifth place with a time of 29.74.
Romeo Control (7-2) held a firm control over the pack in the A6 race that followed. Despite crowding first, he made the top spot his with a superb finish of 28.72. A long distance of nine
lengths separated first place from second, with 5-2 favourite Gazza locking up second place in 29.44. Only a ½ length behind him was Fabulous Rhoda (3-1), who placed third in 29.48.
Dadleys Storm (7-1) took home a fourth-place finish in 29.58. He crowded first, which caused him to miss third place by 1¼ lengths. Locking up fifth place was Elderbery Buzz (7-1), who
also crowded first. He would go on to finish the race in 29.90, which was four lengths behind Dadley’s Storm.

The sixth and final position went to Sporting Style (3-1), who tied the fifth-place time of 29.90, and was just a shoulder’s length behind Elderberry Buzz.

The A6 race also featured a pair of substitutions. Romeo Control was a replacement in trap two for Otherton Raptor, while Elderberry Buzz substituted for Farloe Blossom in trap five, meaning
despite two dogs dropping out there was still a full racing field.

Monmore Greyhound Stadium will be home to more exciting greyhound racing action on Thursday. The race meeting is scheduled to get under way at 19:25.
