Monleek Sloopy set to stand first in The John Smiths Peterborough Derby 2012 – Heat 7
The David Pruhs trained white and black dog, Monleek Sloopy, is keen to keep his last 10-race podium record intact by winning The John Smiths Peterborough Derby 2012 – Heat 7 here at Peterborough racecourse on Wednesday night, July 25. The Open Race over
420 meters will commence at 21:48 (GMT).
In the £100 event, the talented son of Brett Lee out of Razldazl Pearl will compete against four worthy rivals after breaking from the blue box.
The three-year-old veteran hound has constantly been on the podium since March 24, 2012. In this span of 10 races, he grabbed four classic conquests, four thirds and two runner-up ranks. But none of them was an OR contest. However, he gained favourite tags
for the three races.
His last victory by the margin of 2 ½ lengths infused immense spirit and confidence in the dog. This is going to help him make a big impact in tonight’s marathon.
As a whole, Monleek Sloopy’s record in OR format had been fairly pleasant in the past. By utilising his recently-gained form, the experienced hound will emphatically lift the ace title of the Heat. On the paper, he has up to 90 percent chances to thrive.
The only rival he will have to be wary of is Bonnan Bui who marvellously accomplished four glaring triumphs during the last month----each with the favourite tag.
The son of Killahan Phanter out of Trip To Skellig was declared as solo winner in each of two consecutive races earlier during the calendar month.
This hound is also trained by David Pruhs. Thus, both the hounds will compete with almost similar techniques and skills. At this stage, it is quite hard to determine who is hot and who is not. However, the punters are more inclined towards Monleek Sloopy.
By and large, a neck-to-neck clash is waiting ahead. Each one of the strong duo will fight with his back to the wall. It will be quite amazing to watch this duel. So let us be ready for the exciting action. Good luck to both the contestants who are set to
entertain their fans just after a few hours.
