Monleek Sloopy tipped to win Betfred Goals Galore 480m Trophy - Heat 1
The bookmakers have favoured Monleek Sloopy for the Betfred Goals Galore 480m Trophy - Heat 1 at Nottingham in England on Monday, March 12, 2012. The winning greyhound will be given a cash prize of £125.
The Grade OR event, scheduled to start at 20:19 GMT, will see six quality runners in action, who will have to cover an overall distance of 480 metres in order to bag the winning award. The names of these participants are: Monleek Sloopy, Subway Rose, Drumcrow
Dav, Romeo Energy, Rith Agus Rumble and Miss Slick.
Although Monleek Sloopy has been tipped to win the race, his performances in the recent past have not been much impressive. He will have to be at his best in order to claim the winning cash prize today.
David Pruhs’ trainee was unable to make a solid impression in his previous outing at Nottingham, as he finished fifth. He was not the favourite to win, as there were some other quality runners taking part in the race.
The white and black dog was given a starting price of 11 to 4 for that event, but he finished way behind the race winner. He showed good speed at the start of the race, but ran out of gas towards the end. This might discourage the punters from placing bets
on him, as his stamina will be tested over 480 metres today.
The race favourite is the son of Brett Lee out of Razldazl Pearl and was born in June 2009.
On the other hand, Subway Rose will also be the one to watch out for at Nottingham. She has been setting some decent trial times at different venues, but will have to do much better than that in order to win in this grade.
K. Macari’s trained b***h finished fifth in her most recent outing, which shows that she also lacks momentum at the moment. However, she has the ability to bounce back strongly. The black b***h is the daughter of Droopys Maldini out of Droopys Paula and
was born in April 2009.
Drumcrow Dav, trained by D. Acott, has been giving some consistent performances in this class and might cause an upset today. The punters will be encouraged to risk some money on his victory today.
Other than that, Romeo Energy, Rith Agus Rumble and Miss Slick might not be able to make an impression today, as they lack form.
