Monleek Town to be successful in Fengate 250 Sprint at Peterborough
Monleek Town ran riot when setting new figures over 250 metres at Peterborough. Having bagged a massive 7¾-length over a strong opposition, the black dog is fully pumped up. Therefore, he is unlikely to show any mercy to his rivals in the Fengate 250 Sprint,
scheduled to be held on Wednesday, March 06, 2012.
The David Pruhs-trained went through a lean patch after reaching here last month. On his first ride on February 13th, he remained slightly unlucky when missing the gold medal only by a short head’s distance. The penultimate trip was another unlucky
moment.
After taking a wonderful start, he got bumped and eventually finished fourth on the table. The son of Kinloch Brae did not let things get any worse. Putting his journey back on the winning ways at the end of last month, he demonstrated an outstanding show.
The October-11 hound started his run from the fifth box. He was quickly away and with the help of an excellent beginning, he managed to put a lot of pressure on the rivals. Always leading the proceedings, the dashing hound grabbed the first prize with ridiculous
ease.
The hounds facing him today are: Bushy Miko, Minglers Jaguar, Ceroc Swift, Rathglass Lad, and Mineola Keane. The 250 metres contest is due to start at 20:12 GMT. Every hound will look to give his best for a prize of 150 pounds.
Bushy Miko traded blows with Monleek Town recently. The draw is really helpful for the white and black dog. He was mighty impressive on his second last trap, when beating Boozed Star by one and a half lengths.
Minglers Jaguar becomes unmatchable when firing on all cylinders. His current form is not fine though. The white and black dog could take fourth place last time around. Ceroc Swift cannot afford to make a hash of the start from here.
Rathglass Lad’s latest effort was a slight step in the right direction. It will be interesting to see how he performs against Monleek Town. Mineola Keane has been found wanting in this company. We wish the best of luck to all the contestants.
