  1. How long does it have to be?  There are a lot of short ones on the internet.  Also, I compete on the forensics team at my school (public speaking), and for a lot of monologues people take a book they really like and "cut" it.  This basically means that you give an overview of the book by just taking the most important and powerful parts and putting them all together.  Or just take one certain part of a book that is packed with emotion and action (whatever you do, make sure your piece is exciting) and just read that.  If you have any more questions I'd be glad to help you, so just message me.

  2. Look through your favorite books, plays, etc. for any long speeches by individuals. There are also some books that are entirely monologues. I had a "Monologues For The Young Actor" book at one point. Just make sure you get a good one that allows you to express some emotion and it also has some interest that will keep the director (or whoever it's for) engaged as you speak.

  3. You can find some good ones on the internet but there are hundreds of books you will be able to find at your local library. My teacher let me borrow one last year called "monolouges for teenage girls." It was great and had heaps of them in it. What topic do you want to do and how long do you want it to be? I might be able to find one.
