Question:

Monologues for teens?

I need to bring in 5 teen appropriate monologues for tomorrow for my acting class. This means no cussing and no super adult language.

-It needs to be a minute or less, NO longer than a minute.

-It should be from a movie/book/play/tv show.

-Not so well known that while I am reciting my monologue my teacher can't focus on me because she's thinking of the actor doing it.

(eg.Lizzie McGuire, Hilary Duff)

Even if you could just give me a website that I can find something like what im looking for would be great!! Cause I've been looking and have been pretty unsuccesful.

Thanks for the help!

  2. I Had the same problem this past weekend looking for Teen monologues under a minute. I found a few on

    http://www.geocities.com/thespian_didi/b...

    http://www.ispgroupinc.com/monologues/mo...

Also if you want to be original then I would write your own! I wrote alot of my own and this acting Coach loved them! Plus if they have to be a minute long then they are not that hard to write at all! Hope those two sites help! :-) Good Luck!

  3. Find the book "Tomorrow When The War Began" by John Marsden.

Its based around teenagers living in Australia who are forced to survive in a war zone when their country is invaded. Its about how they cope with war and how they fight back to help save their country. Its a very gripping, moving tale told from the first person view of Ellie Linton.

Also try one of the parts of any of the thespians from Jean Bett's "Revenge of the Amazons"... Its a feminist comedy spoof of Shakespeares "A Midsummer Nights Dream"
