i use a few home rules to help boost the "funness" of the game

what do you do...

here are some of mine

if you give out property use the 6 three property monopolys you can use a die to see who gets what

also if you start at medtranian ave and number it 1 and keep numbering untill you get to jail and number it 10 you can figure out movent with out counting spaces just add the dies to the space square, you get were you should land.

also if you roll 3 die and move 2 die it changes the theam of the game...you want to be tyhe least expencive so people will chose to land on you

  1. I don't care for Monopoly.

  2. There is an official variant available at www.hasbro.com. Go to "Customer Service," go to "Rules." Under "S" look for Stockmarket (one word). It turns Free Parking into an area for investment. It's pretty good. What the rules don't tell you though is that there should be three Chance cards and three Community Chest cards that say "Go to Stock Market."

  3. My family play if you land on GO then you get $400.

Also we like to put $500 on the Free Parking and we put the luxary tax and chance card money on the free parking.Whoever lands on free parking gets all the money

  4. Free Parking should be exactly that - a Free space.  No money for landing there should be awarded, otherwise the game lasts all day.

We like to take 2 Monopoly boards and put them together, overlapping the "Go" squares - it makes one big track with twice as much property for sale!  But you have to use 2 different sets, with different fonts on the deeds so you can tell them apart.

We also have a rule that houses and hotels can only be bought at the START of someone's turn.  It prevents people from building houses in your path when they see you approaching their property.
