  1. when a player goes to the bathroom, steal all their money - sell their properties and drink their beer. It makes the game more fun. Everyone takes turns going to the bathroom.

  2. i personally only buy properties from free parking all the way to go so that way it saves money while also gets properties

  3. try buying all the properties first so you can get nalot of money

  4. You need to learn to make a trade. There comes a point at mid-game when you have to trade for a monopoly. Ideally, you want to trade for the Oranges or Reds and still have enough money to buy houses. Players will often trade everything away just to have Boardwalk and Park Place only to have no money to develope!

  5. Slow but steady wins the game, here's how.

Buy all you can afford when you start (forget the two utilities), and keep an eye out for the most expensive property that has been bought, remembering to keep enough money back to pay rent should you land on it (for one landing is enough).

    Example:

If someone buys Boardwalk, be sure to have enough ($35) in reserve.

Should someone increase the value of a property, the same argument stands,

    Example:

If a property has been improved to a hotel, keep enough in reserve to pay rent for one landing.

This method allows for security as well as giving you a chance to improve your own property and collect rent as you go and get rich.

    ;-)

  6. get greens, blues, reds, and orange if someone else does it and they have a cheaper monopoly and you have the other trade that and another piece your willing to give up. P.S if there's a big pot and your in jail pay the price the first time

  7. Well the problem with developing a strategy in monopoly is that it is very, very random.

One tip - buy everything you can on your first few go - rounds but leave a small reserve of cash on hand to buy up properties in auction or pay rent or unexpected expenses.

  8. your dads stratigy is actually good you need to buy propeties early in the game and negotiate to get all 2 or 3 of one colour then stack up on houses and every time you pass go or get money from free parking buy more and morgage the ones you cant get all 3 or 2 of. because they will do you no good with no houses on them.

  9. Trade, get a set as soon as you can, but make sure you have money to build houses right away.  Keep building to get hotels.  When you take over a bankrupt player's properties, unmortgage one set and build house right away.  Be aggressive.

  10. don't get all worried just have fun.also look hopeful and trade with your opponents.

  11. Purchase your property as early as possbile and have them as close as possible.

  12. I read a book that said the most lucrative properties to own were the ones next to free parking.  So buy them and trade to get them.  Skip the electric company and the water company.  Railroads are good to get because if you get the monopoly then you have at least one safe place to land on each side of the board.  And if you can manage it buy Park Place and Boardwalk.  Good luck.
