Question:

Monroe piercing - healing question?

Got piercing done approx 10 weeks ago. Had initial bar changed by piercer after 2 weeks to smaller one but I still felt it was fat too big. I changed it myself after another week or so to a 1.6mm bioplast bar which feels better. Today I noticed that around the hole is a white line - like scar tissue - is this normal?

Thanks

  1. it sounds normal, probably is just scar tissue.

what size did you get it pierced with? if it was 1.2mm and youre now wearing a 1.6mm the white line might be where the bars too tight for the hole because its only just healed to the smaller size.

i wouldnt worry about it though, unless it starts seeping or hurting or goes really red or anything that obviously isnt good

  2. i would doubt that it would still be healing after 10 weeks,

its probably fine, just adapting to its new bar,

but just to be on the safe side,

why dont you dial your piercer up?

they'll be willing to help :)

  3. It will still be healing. Piercings take alot longer to heal than you think!! It might just be part of the healing process. The skin will try and push out the bar but that is completely normal and eventually it will settle. Go back to the piercer though if your worried they will be happy to help they wont want you to be worried!

  4. it might be. you could go back to the piercer and see what they say. i had mine done for 2 years and i took it out in april for my wedding. there is still a hole on the outside but its closed inside. sucks.
