  1. Buying Expensive Cables for your car is a Total and Complete waste of Money.

Whenever we talk to an Amplifier manufacturing company that comes to our shop to give us training, I ask this same question to the engineers that build car audio product.

Every engineer from every company has always given me the same answer:

Buy at least a shielded $3 to $5 RCA cable.  Anything that cost more than $5 is a total waste of money.  Boston accoustics engineer told me that they had tried to purchase just about every RCA cable out there to see what would happen to their amp with different rca cables.  They found that the more expensive the cable, the more often it was defective.  thats cuz the expensive rca uses a heavier head and the inner wire being thin would snap off from the weight.  The super cheap Made in China stuff was light weight and was in fact more reliable with No Measurable Sound Difference.

So if you want to spend for better wire, purchase a name brand Power Wire instead.  Any name branded Power wire will give you good current flow to the amp, and that is important.
