Monster Yamaha Tech3 riders Cal Crutchlow, Colin Edwards ready for Catalunya – MotoGP news
Monster Yamaha Tech3 riders Cal Crutchlow and Colin Edwards are ready to strike back at Gran Premi Aperol de Catalunya after being unsuccessful at the French GP.
Edwards’ likes the circuit but Crutchlow will have a debut race at the venue.
After a three-week gap, the MotoGP action is coming back and Monster Yamaha Tech3 team is prepared for the Catalan event.
The Monster Yamaha Tech3 team was not able make a good impression at their home event. Cal Crutchlow experienced a fall and earned his first ‘did not finish’ status in his premier class career.
Crutchlow was unable to earn any points. The Brit’s team had to suffer with no victory in their pocket. The British Tech3 rider is famous for quickly mastering on a new circuit and is looking forward to make a strong impact at the Catalunya Grand Prix. He
likes the technical challenging aspect of the Circuit de Catalunya, Barcelona and is anticipating scoring a clean finish in the top ten in the fifth event of the season.
Crutchlow managed a decent sixth position in the Le Mans GP. About the upcoming event, Crutchlow said, “Catalunya will be another new race for me. I am looking forward to going there as the track looks good. I had a strong result in qualifying in Le Mans
and it was a shame that I crashed in the race, but if we can continue where we were at the previous race without the mistake I would be happy.”
Crutchlow feels that the team progress is headed into right direction and he will perform his best as much as possible.
The American, Tech3 rider Colin Edwards also had a fall in the French GP, but managed to restart and score three points with a 13th place finish in his team’s home event.
The Texan said, “I am looking forward to Barcelona and to some heat. It has been a little cold at the previous race in Le Mans. I never really had what I would say a great result there apart from 5th or 6th at the Dorna tests.”
The veteran likes the Barcelona track and looks forward to ride with new chassis setup on which he has worked recently.
