Question:

Monster and Redbull?

Me and my dad are discussing the caffeine difference between monster and red bull. we both agree that red bull gives a different, maybe stronger buzz. But online it says that they both have 80mg per 8.oz. I thought maybe it is because of the different formulas (gaurana, ginseng usage.) but i am not sure. thanks for any help.

  1. yeah u and ur dad are right they both have the same cafeinne but different formulas, i prefer monster =]

  2. Different amounts of taurine and b complex vitamins, as well as some other things.  Could also be things that help deliver the drugs into your bloodstream faster, like CO2 or alkaline substances.

I used to drink a lot of Red Bull, but after having a splitting headache for a whole week I gave up the stuff completely.

  3. neither

  4. Both Red Bull and Monster have the same amount of caffeine per serving. 80mg.

Here is the comparrison of B vitamins:

    Red Bull: B3-100%, B5-50%, B6-250%, B12-80%

    Monster:  B2-100%, B3-100%, B6-100%, B12-100%

Red Bull has a tiny bit more sugar. It has 27g per serving compared to 26g per serving of Monster.

    Other Stimulants:

    Red Bull: Inositol-50mg, Taurine-1000mg, Glucuronolactone-600mg

    Monster: Inosito-unknown amount, Taurine-1000mg, Glucuronolactone-unknown amount, Maltodetrin-unknown amount, Ginseng-200mg, Carntine-unknown amount

They look pretty close on many things but it looks like the edge should go to Monster. However we are all different and react differently so Monster might work better for one when Red Bull works better on another.
