Monster java made me shakey?

I had my first monster java today: big black flavor. omg! amazing!

I got the smallish can, idk what the oz was. but i drank it. then had to walk three miles in the heat back to my home. When i got there i noticed that my head hurt and my hands were kinda shakey and my knees wobbled a little. It took me about 2 hours for the shaking to stop. My question is why did this happen? was it from the heat mixed with not eating enough, and drinking all that sugar and c**p, or was it the monster its self. I'm going to try to drink another one to see how i react, but i was wondering if anything similar happened to someone else.

  1. You don't need the energy AT ALL.

    Don't drink them.

If your going to drink all that sugar and stuff why do you bother even asking if you should know that's going to happen to you.

  2. Yea, it probably was all the sugar in your system with no food, and probably not a whole lot of water intake.  If it happens again, try the sugar free drinks.  They dont get you all shaky and weird feeling and the energy last quit a bit longer.  All that sugar is just there and then it burns off quickly.  You need to keep plenty of water in your system too.  I prefer sugar free red bulls myself.

  3. It was most likely the heat... I mean unless you had some "reaction" to all the sugar and caffiene, but that seems very unlikely... but hey, you never know.... I say it was the heat though

  4. it is all of the sugar and caffeine and c**p so when you drink it you will get the shakes every time.

  5. It could be a combination. The heat can definately do this to you. However so can caffeine. Caffeine dehydrates us and that is the last thing you want to do before exerting yourself out in the heat. The dehydration can also give us a headach too.

Normally, enegy drinks have 80 mg of caffeine per serving and coffee has 85 mg. I don't know how much is in the new Monsters Javas though. Primarily because I only drink XS Energy drinks now and secondly because I could never stand coffee. It would probably make me hurl.

Now on top of the heat and dehydrating effects of the caffeine you have another issue. All of the stimulants were hyping you up while you were dehydrated and in the heat. Plus all of that sugar on an empty stomach too.

If you are going to go out in the heat then drink water. If you are going to have coffee or an energy drink then have water with it. If you are going to have a coffee or energy drink then go out in the heat then you most definately need to have water too.
