Montego Bay Jamaica?

Question

Want to go to Montego Bay Jamaica. Flying standby so I don't want to book a hotel until I get there. Do you think it would be foolish to wait until I arrive and then try to get a hotel?

Just don't go for the Jamaica's Independence week..(1st Monday of August) and expect to book into a lovely hotel.

Book your hotel.  They will ask you to hold it with a credit card...But you have until a certain time that day to cancel, if you do not leave on a  standby flight.

imagine if all the hotels are full... or are more expensive than you thought...

if you want an adventure you can do it....

well, it would be best to book a hotel before you go, but it possible to get a hotel in case you just want to walk in. if it gets to the point where you can't find any hotels just make sure to carry a couple of phone number for some hotels so when you reach there you could call them and ask if they have rooms available.
