Vincenzo Montella, the head coach of Fiorentina, has gone on to comment on his ambitions at the club, and stated that he is desperate to lift a trophy at the club.

Whereas, other bigger clubs see the Coppa
Italia as an opportunity to give the fringe players a chance to prove themselves to the bosses at their respective clubs, the Florence outfit have been playing their main team in the competition.
Vincenzo Montella has acknowledged the reason for this before as well and reiterated the importance of the competition in the fourth round of the tournament as well. He had stated that the Coppa Italia provides the club with a unique doorway to Europe, and
that is one of the ambitions of the club. For a club who have invested as much as the Gigliati have, it is imperative that they see this as an opportunity to go on to the next stage, furthermore, this would also make the club a more attractive proposition
for the top quality players.
