Vincenzo Montella has come under the lime light following his impressive displays with Roma, Catania and now Fiorentina. The former AS Roma striker went on to fulfil his coaching ambitions even while he was playing for the Giallorossi outfit. He went on
to take the opportunity to be the caretaker head coach at AS http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Roma-c31603 during his last season at the club, and was a player/coach before he hung up his boots at the finale of that season.
After being overlooked by AS Roma, who opted to sign on the Spaniard, Luis Enrique, Catania gave Montella a chance, which the Italian took with both hands and turned the Elefanti outfit into a hard working team which was difficult to beat. After guiding
them to a respectable finish in the Serie A, Montella quit the club after he was offered a chance at Fiorentina.
The Della Valle family has shown great faith in the abilities of their newly appointed head coach and there were a lot of signings made by the Florence outfit in the latest edition of the summer transfer window as well. More than 18 players came to the Artemio
Franchi outfit for the current season.
This positive view has been reaffirmed by Galeone, former Pescara man, who has remarked on the performances made by the Fiorentina manager so far this season. He further went on to state that the Gigliati are in safe hands under the guidance of Montella
and also remarked that they will be achieving success under his management as well.
Furthermore, Montella was lauded as a coach that was destined for success, and whilst talking to the press, Galeone went on to remark:
“He is one of the few Italian tacticians around who looks for performances over results. He is the best emerging boss in the Italian game and he’s always been destined for success as a Coach. The Viola can aim high with him at the helm.”
Fiorentina currently sit on 11 points for the season after seven matches in the Serie A.
