Montenegro use to have a royal family?

What happened to them after the communists took over ?

I believe that they went into exile in western Europe.I know that the king or former King went into exile in Austria at the end of the second world war.

King Nikola II of Montenegro ( great grandson of the last ruler) lives in Sicily. He is 64 years old. The monarchy fled the country in WWI .

Aleksandar Karađorđević is the claimant to the throne of Serbia. He is 63 years old and lives in Chicago. His son is American citizen by virtue of being born in the USA.  Prior to May 21, 2006 he had a claim over the throne of Montenegro as well. Now that Serbia and Montenegro are seperate countries, the thrones are seperate as well.
