Montessori Booklet ideas?

Hey everyone.

I was just wondering for the booklets made for the classroom, will be focousing on the different continents & stuff be a bad idea.

Its main aim as they will be doing culture work at the same time so I could do continent books focusing on the different types of culture that they get,pass times,clothing,clothes & so fourth.

Sounds good for the 5-6 year olds.  A little difficult for the younger ones.

I think that this is a great idea. As I said in another post to you, I would follow the "needs of people" but also would show and discuss:

The main biomes- jungle, desert, mountains...

Main geographical features- Mount Everest, Nile River, The Pampas...

Famous places from the continent- Macho Picchu, 'Cristo Redentor' atop Corcovado mountain, London...

Native animals- lions, tigers and bears..,

The peoples, both indigineous and not- Maori and today's New Zelandars...
